Gloria brings her passion for equality and leadership into the mission and vision of the Destiny Empowerment Center. She is determined to ensure that the population most in need of support and resources has access to the tools they need to succeed. 

She has a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, a certificate in software engineering, and is trained in the John Maxwell methods for effective leadership. Gloria has taught computer courses at Roxbury Community College, Bunker Hill Community College, and the Katherine Gibbs School in Massachusetts. 

Gloria’s background includes over 14 years of experience facilitating dental care access through mobile dental clinics and programs, improving the oral and overall health of countless individuals. Her approach as the Chief Executive Officer of the Destiny Empowerment Center is a holistic approach to community wellness and a dedication to promoting equal access to dental care, education services, and economic development. 

Gloria believes that critical areas of need must be met for individuals to truly thrive, which is why programs that address hunger, physical wellness, education, development, and mental health are offered by the Empowerment Center. 

Certified in numerous John Maxwell techniques, in the Executive Director Team Level, Gloria provides coaching and other services that support parenting and family needs, youth-focused programs, and business leadership development. She provides business mentorship, corporate training, and group workshops on skills like balancing work and family life, building strategic partnerships, and improving productivity. 

Supporting the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs is especially important to Gloria. She is devoted to empowering and building up the community’s youth to give them a solid foundation of confidence, resilience, and real-world skills. 

Gloria Olatunji is a business mentor, keynote speaker, success coach, published author, and community advocate.

Dr. Anthony Olatunji, or Dr. O as his patients affectionately call him, is an award-winning dental practitioner with over 20 years of experience. His knowledge and compassionate approach to his patients’ dental care has spurred his professional success while also endearing him to the communities he serves. In addition to his private dentistry practices, Dr. O operates a mobile dental service that provides cavity prevention treatment for underserved children throughout Massachusetts’ inner cities. 

Since 2009, he has partnered with local preschools, family care centers, the Boston Public School system, and various early learning centers across Massachusetts from Greater Boston, to Lawrence, Lowell, New Bedford, Taunton, and much more, in a continuous effort to improve dental care access. His efforts have raised awareness about the disparity in dental care for underserved populations and provided necessary oral health services for over 10,000 children in Massachusetts. 

A graduate of Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Dr. O is a Licensed General and Family Dental Practitioner in Massachusetts and Rhode Island with extensive experience in cosmetic dentistry, prosthodontics, and family dentistry.  

He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Association.

Dr. Claudia Maragno is a highly motivated professional, and a high achiever. She has professional excellence in education and dental competencies. 

 She is a graduate of Boston University Goldman Dental School. Dr. Claudia is a licensed dentist in the State of Massachusetts

Dr. Claudia Maragno is a seasoned licensed general dentist & dental surgeon with background dental  experience in , prosthodontics, oral surgery, Oral Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, Pedodontics, Periodontology and Endodontics.  

 Her background dental experience include over 13 years in Italy, United Kingdom, and New York combined. 

Her wealth of experience and Membership as

  Board Member of The Dante Alighieri Society located in Cambridge, MA.  are added assets to the  successful execution of Destiny Empowerment Center. 

Carolyn Sura O'mard has a  BA Education, and M. ED, Educational Administration (With Honors), from University of Massachusetts 

Carolyn is an Educator with a proven commitment to student growth, development, and academic excellence for all learners. 

Carolyn has a dynamic professional expertise as an Elementary School Principal in leading bilingual, special and regular education students, staff and daily operations in K-5 elementary schools. 

She was Principal of Elementary to K-5 for over 12 years

Her wealth of experience and Membership at Mass Association for Elementary School Principals & Membership at Black 

Educator’s Alliance of Massachusetts, coupled with her Executive Board Member Positions at Dome Foundation, Bottom Line, and Historic Shirley Eustis House are added assets to the  successful execution of our economic development programs for our youth and women, young adults and adults in leadership, 

Edna Brown, B.S. Speech & Language Therapy in Education.  She has double Masters Degree in Education from Northeastern University and Eastern Nazarene College with M.Ed, Rehabilitation; & M.Ed. Special Education respectively.

Edna Brown is one of the  Board Members of Destiny Empowerment Center.  She comes with a wealth of knowledge and background experience that is over 30 years in education. Edna started her career as a Rehabilitation Counselor and managed caseloads of 90-100 physically, mentally, and/or emotionally disabled individuals that had substantial handicap to employment.   

She interviewed, evaluated, and counseled clients; interpreted test results; developed & planned appropriate programs; coordinated services such as job placement with follow up, health, education, welfare and social services.  

After Counseling, Edna served as  Special Education Teacher of elementary students with speech & language deficits. 

She evaluated students, developed individual education plans (IEP), provided supportive counseling to parents, and taught multi grade academics  

She is a Retired Volunteer Health Education Coordinator for Seniors and currently is the Health Workshop  Co-Facilitator at the Destiny Empowerment Center.
 

Edna’s interest in health began as a child looking at colorful medical pictures. Later, she observed her father using herbs as medicine. In her young adult years with a minor health issue, she discovered the benefits of natural medicines for healing, and learned a process to follow: 

1) Prayer

2) get professional diagnosis

3) seek knowledge about diagnosis & treatment 

4) apply spiritual wisdom. Wisdom led to exercise & healthy eating!

Susan Puleo has a background as a teacher at the YMCA for Adults & Children in Fitness & Health. With her tremendous background and experience in CORE Evaluation & IEP, Susan Puleo will help to navigate help with children with learning problems and disability problems. She successfully worked with her child with learning disabilities and motivated and inspired her child not only to complete College Education, but also superbly motivated him to be successful in life.

Susan also has phenomenal experience with helping Dogs through health issues as her dog experienced health issues, very bad skin issues, and digestive issues. The many lessons she learned from her Dog being sick, Doctors and Health Consultants have positioned her with the expert knowledge to help and counsel those in need of dealing with Dog Health Issues to help them become healthier.

Susan’s wealth of experience is not limited in any way. She can also help anyone who needs help in becoming a landlord or anyone getting apartment and/or needs help getting a voucher if they are homeless or need assistance.
